OVERVIEW

Description

Craft3 is unusual among CDFIs because its mission encompasses the three "bottom lines" of economic, environmental and social equity. Craft3 was founded on the belief that these three concerns are interconnected and cannot be successfully addressed as isolated problems. After 20 years, Craft3 has developed a unique breadth of knowledge and organizational competencies. This expertise constitutes Craft3's competitive advantage, enabling it to formulate innovative solutions to varied problems confronting urban and rural communities. Since its founding in 1994, Craft3 has become very good at converting its resources (capital, expertise and relationships) into maximizing outcomes in low-moderate income communities throughout Oregon and Washington. Since that time it has invested $350 million in people and places in Oregon and Washington, delivering the following results, while maintaining a loss rate of 2% or less:
10,330 jobs created or retained
178 start-up businesses financed
324 women-, minority-, immigrant- or veteran-owned businesses assisted
