Latif Structure TLG Capital was founded in 2009 with the belief that commercial and social returns can and should go hand-in-hand in frontier markets. In 2012, TLG Capital was restructured into an investment holding company – an innovative move which allows it to more efficiently deploy permanent capital to its portfolio companies and offer better returns to its shareholders. Corporate Social Responsibility and Profit TLG believes that the best way to help emerging economies grow is by creating and supporting homegrown sustainable and profitable businesses. The company achieves this by providing growth capital, coupled with technical assistance, to indigenous companies in Sub-Saharan Africa and Frontier Asia with high potential but limited funding or technical know-how. TLG invests for profit with the caveat that its investments should have a socially beneficial impact.
