Description

The Northern Arizona Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology (NACET) fosters business growth, from ideation to sustainable revenue, creating high-quality jobs and supporting economic vitality, entrepreneurship, and innovation. NACET matches entrepreneurs, startups and growing companies with critical resources such as coaching and advising, training and investor readiness preparation, grant programs, access to specialty labs and equipment, intellectual property and capital resources, or our extensive network of mentors, faculty, staff, interns and alumni from local businesses and academic institutions.

PROGRAM DETAILS AND REQUIREMENTS

Program Details

NACET Clients are the backbone of the NACET program. We engage with clients in two ways. Resident clients operate their businesses out of NACET’s high-tech facility taking advantage of a dynamic business environment without costly overhead expenses. Affiliate clients use the shared office environment when needed, primarily conducting their business out of their own offices or laboratories. All clients have full access to NACET’s incubation program.

NACET’s incubation engagement program includes:
-Business planning and management consulting
-Introductions to angel investors and early stage venture firms
-Dedicated recruiting staff to source and screen job candidates
-Patent advisement services
-Mentoring program — pro bono services from area professionals to support client businesses (accounting, law, marketing, venture capital and more)
-Networking and educational events
-Collaboration with University research teams and domestic and international student interns
-Coordination with public and private partners, including City of Flagstaff, Arizona Commerce Authority, Northern Arizona University, Arizona Bio (Bio-tech Council), and Coconino County’s Sustainable Economic Development Initiative
-Lunchtime Seminars
