Unleashed at the University of Notre Dame Offering free business consulting to interested for-profit social enterprises - student consultants will create a customized consulting project targeted to measurably impact your social enterprise--all for free!
Mentorship programs or network
Social Enterprise Consulting (SEC), a branch of Unleashed (the impact investing club at the University of Notre Dame), is offering free business consulting to interested for-profit social enterprises . During the fall of 2015, student consultants will create a customized consulting project targeted to measurably impact your social enterprise--all for free!
Potential services offered may include one of or a combination of the following areas:
Marketing strategy (identifying the target market, advertising, etc.)
Marketing Research (competitive landscape, etc.)
Operations and sustainability
Specific bottlenecks or other issues
It is important to keep in mind that there are limitations to what students’ are capable of offering the social enterprises, so each project team will meet with skilled mentors to decide which service is best for the enterprise. The consultants are concerned with giving quality over quantity, in terms of the services given. Furthermore, there will be workshops given to interested enterprises, in certain relevant areas throughout the spring.
Interested enterprises must apply by August 3, 2015. Contact SEC branch leaders Megan Mannifield (firstname.lastname@example.org) with any further questions about next steps in partnering with Unleashed.
We have finished our spring semester projects and they have been a great success! We look forward to speaking with interested enterprises for potential projects in the fall of 2015.
*It is expected that the enterprises will be open to communicating regularly with the student consultants.
